Servicing
Keeping your windows operating smoothly is important if you regularly like to let fresh air flow through your home. It’s common for windows to become difficult to open over time, not stay up when they are opened, or to become stuck closed completely.
All of these issues can be rectified and we can have your windows working smoothly again just as they should.

Double hung

Casement
We replace hinges, friction stays, timber beads, locks and handles.
Weather seals
We can add rubber or brush seals to your windows to help them seal against draughts and keep out unwanted noise.
Restorations
In some cases we will provide intensive full service restorations from start to finish.
This entails removing sashes completely and sanding down old layers of paint. Replacing sash cords, replacing glass and replacing all timber beads and trims. All components are painted separately before being re-assembled and then final coats of paint applied once finished. This ensure maximum coverage, ease of operation, and maximum longevity.
This type of intensive service is ideal for heritage buildings where the longevity of existing windows is of the utmost importance
